Seizures

Convulsions (seizures) usually appear more serious than they really are. Seizures are usually self-limiting and most will cease within two to four minutes.

Your child should be protected from injury such as failing and hitting the head, choking, etc. Therefore, you should place him on the floor or a bed or your lap, protect the head and turn it to the side. Make sure the mouth is clear, but do not injure the throat by jamming a mouthpiece into it. Call for advice as soon as you are able or call 911 for help.
