Meet the Cobb Pediatrics Providers
Dr. Julia Gaines, MD, FAAP
Dr. Gaines received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She then returned to Vanderbilt to complete her residency in pediatrics. Dr. Gaines has a special interest in infectious diseases and travel medicine as well as in general pediatric medicine. In her spare time, she is an active volunteer at Zoo Atlanta and other conservation groups.
Dr. Craig L. Lebish, MD, FAAP
Dr. Lebish received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University (Bloomington) and his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. He then returned to the Indiana University Medical Center to complete his internship and residency. Dr. Lebish is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lebish is the laboratory director for Cobb Pediatrics. His special interests are sports medicine and general pediatric medicine.
Dr. Robert Forbes, MD, FAAP
Dr. Forbes received his undergraduate degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Forbes spent the next ten years in the U.S. Army completing his residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, and did tours of duty at Fort Stewart and Fort Gordon. Dr. Forbes medical interests include developmental pediatrics and coordinating the care of children with disabilities and chronic medical illnesses.
Dr. Nikki Roberts, MD, FAAP
Dr. Roberts received her undergraduate degree from Yale University in New Haven, CT and her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. She then completed her internship and Pediatric residency at Emory University. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special interest is adolescent medicine. While away from the office she enjoys outdoor activity and community service.
Dr. Dara Hosch, MD, FAAP
Dr. Hosch completed her Pediatric training at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. She is a graduate of Mercer University School of Medicine. She also has degrees from the University of South Alabama and Texas Women’s University. Special interests include international adoption and lactation. During her spare time she and her husband stay busy with their three wonderful sons.
Dr. Erika van Putten, MD, FAAP
Dr. van Putten received her undergraduate degree from Spelman College. She obtained her medical degree and Pediatric Residency from Penn State University in Hershey, PA. Dr. van Putten is a member of the National Medical Association and American Academy of Pediatrics. Her interest is in general pediatrics. Dr. van Putten is BLS and Pediatric Life Support certified.
Julie Cosgrove, CPNP
Julie Cosgrove graduated from Saint Xavier College in Chicago, Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked in pediatrics for 10 years and went on to complete her Master’s in Child Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Julie is Pediatric Life Support certified and has a special interest in pediatric safety. Julie has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with Cobb Pediatrics for 22 years. She loves to spend time with her family, travel, read and work outside in her yard.
Denise Swain, CPNP
Denise Swain graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in nursing. She has worked in the field of pediatrics for 13 years. Denise is Pediatric Life Support certified and is a member of NAPNAP. Her special interest is general and developmental pediatrics. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling, and playing with her dogs.
Deanna Renz, CPNP
Deanna Renz received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Kennesaw State University. She then attended Georgia State University and received her Masters of Science degree, also in Nursing. Deanna is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience. Her interests are holistic nursing, illness prevention, and health maintenance. During her spare time, Deanna enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and her animals.
